The rooms are arranged on two floors, we call them upper and lower deck. There is outdoor space on both floors where you can enjoy a relaxed ambiance and spectacular views of the Caribbean Sea. Our accommodation features modern amenities such as fast mesh Wi-Fi, smart technology through the use of Apple TV and keyless door entry, air conditioning and fans.

Having spent many years travelling to visit family on the beautiful island of Jamaica, both Errol and Yvonne were excited to choose Negril as their ideal wedding destination. Whilst looking for a wedding reception venue, they were introduced to the owner of the place that would soon become Begona Cliff Hotel.

It turned out that the previous owners were distant cousins and the place was formerly a guest house but in need of complete renovation.  Once the sale was agreed, Errol called in Jamaican architect, Maxine Gibson and with the help of local builders transformed the space into Begona Cliff Hotel, using shipping containers, wood and concrete, all done during the heart of the pandemic.

Begona Cliff is unique in that its name originated from the ship that once brought thousands of Jamaicans, including Errol’s father, to the UK in the early 1960s in search of work and a new future. After many years living in the UK, his father eventually returned to his hometown of Negril after many years living in the UK. The hotel is named in honour of his father’s memory.
